Fat Loss Incest

Posted by Ask The Fitness Pro in January 29th 2012

Hey everybody!

Today I want to talk about fat loss incest. If you’re not sure what that is, just think about all the claims you hear day in and day out about fat loss and you’ll come to realize that everybody is saying the same thing.

Marketers are finding the key words that "trigger" your emotions and everyone is copying each other’s claims hoping you buy their product or promotion. Problem is…they are all lies!

fat loss lies

Fat loss incest is regarded, in the fitness industry, as a serious taboo that should be avoided if possible.

My rule of thumb is that if the claim looks too good to be true, it most likely is.

But just don’t take my word for it…Even the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) recommends that you; as a consumer; should be weary of weight loss product advertisements and claims of effectiveness.

Gaining Weight Is Not Your Fault

If you’re the type of person who always seems to be struggling to lose weight and blame yourself when it doesn’t happen, it’s time you stopped doing that.

There are a number of things that play a role in helping you lose weight and since you were lied to for so many years, you can’t be totally blamed for your outcome.

Besides eating right and exercising on a regular basis, you need to know that your physiology determines your ability to lose weight and keep it off. Put another way, how well your body is working on the inside, will determine how well the results will be on the outside.

…Stress

…Cortisol Levels

…Toxins

…Insulin

…Thyroid

…Hormone Levels

These are just a few of the things that will help or hurt your body transformation from happening. Each requires careful consideration.

Reasons for Fat Loss

Stress and Cortisol Levels are the number one enemy when it comes to increasing or decreasing your body’s metabolism. Cortisol is a stress hormone produced by the body in response to mental, physical or emotional stress. It increases the flow of glucose through the body’s tissues and into the bloodstream in order to boost its energy and physical readiness to control the risky or stressful situation.

Having high amounts of stress increase your cortisol levels and help contribute to storing abdominal fat on your body.

Environmental Toxins are entered into your bloodstream every time you eat. Water and fat storage are your body’s way of protecting you from these poisonous pollutants. Often the reason why people can’t lose weight is due to these dangerous levels of toxins being detected.

It pays to be more aware of what you put into your body. If your immune system allowed for the removal of excess fat and water when the toxin level in your bloodstream was high, then your life would be put in danger.

Fat Storage and Insulin play a big role in fat loss. No matter what you eat, a candy bar, a soft drink or even a big meal, the presence of glucose, amino acids or fatty acids in the intestine will stimulate the pancreas to secrete a hormone called insulin.

Insulin helps store the nutrients from the foods you eat and tells the cells, especially in the liver, muscles and fat tissue, what to do. A high level of insulin equals a high level of fat storage. A low level of insulin gives your body a better chance at losing body fat.

Hormones are a chemical messenger produced by the endocrine glands in small amounts that are released into the bloodstream and carried to other parts of the body, where they cause specific changes in body function

Depending on how you’ve eaten over the years, (consuming large amounts of sugar and eating low calorie diets) can disrupt or even block glandular functions. Over or under production of these hormones and disrupted communications can contribute to extensive variations of how the body functions.

A sluggish Thyroid may contribute to the overall body shape being disproportionately larger all over.

Thyroid hormones aid in speeding up your body’s metabolism for a number of functions..

…energy production

…fat burning

…weight loss

…mental activity

…intestinal functioning

…growth

…repair of tissues

…absorption of nutrients

and the elimination of wastes in the body.

If your thyroid gland is not making hormones available, many of your body functions might be slowed down. This will result in you being tired, retaining fluids and storing body fat.

Don’t Sabotage Your Results from your Diet and Exercise Program

If you happen to be overweight and you’re seriously thinking about a change, don’t be looking for a quick fix fat loss result, because they don’t exist!

Be aware of the points mentioned above and make an effort to slowly and steadily lose 1 to 2 pounds a week. And be more aware of the similarity of claims most products and weight loss quick fix programs tend to promote…and stay as far away as possible.
