Why Your Workouts Stink!

Hey there, hope you’re having a great day.

If there was any possible way for you to have the body of your dreams, what would you do to get it? How much effort would you put in on your own in order to make heads turn?

Here are 7 simple secrets that can get you beach-body ready in no time flat.

Sadly, very soon it’s going to be bikini beach season again. And soon you’ll find everyone flocking to the sea shore, shedding their heavy winter clothes and showing off their milky white bodies. (Talk about a good reason to suddenly being blind!)

Right away you’ll be able to tell who has been hitting the gym all winter long and who has exercised only their thumb and forefinger on the remote control.

Here are the 7 simple secrets: 

Have a Goal and Stick To It

If you were to have no obstacles to getting exactly the ideal body of your choice, what would you be willing to do to get it? How would you look? What kind of feelings would you have if you were able to shape your body this way? Don’t just think about it, put it down on paper.  Or take a photograph of someone you would like to resemble and plaster it all over your home.  Put it on the computer, the refrigerator and even the bathroom mirror. Seeing your vision every day is one step closer to getting there.

Set a Time Limit

Nothing will ever get accomplished unless you have a deadline. Plan out well in advance when you want to accomplish your goal. Don’t allow yourself to make excuses.  If you really want it badly enough, you will be laser focused and not let anything stand in your way!    

Do NOT Skip Meals

The biggest way for you to fight fat is to EAT! Your body needs energy to survive and if you are exercising like you should, you need to fuel your new muscle growth to keep it alive. If you skip meals or just cut down on your food intake and you continue to workout hard, you will only be wasting your time. Your body will think you are starving itself and use up all that valuable muscle tissue as an easy energy source and keep the fat as a reserve.

Stay Away From Processed ‘JUNK’ Foods

Just about every conceivable convenience food has sugar in it.  This favored sweet substance will ruin your health. Sugar can cause hyperactivity, kidney damage, tooth decay, arthritis, contribute to diabetes, cardiovascular disease and can compromise the immune system.

Simply put…it’s not too good for you. The more sugar you eat, the better your chances of not fitting into that bikini.

Think of sugar as FAT’s Favorite Friend and then maybe you’ll settle for a sugar substitute.

Stop Making Excuses

Who cares that your favorite TV show is on…Tape it! Big deal that people will look at you in the gym…that’s why you were there in the first place. So what if you are tired…suck it up it will be worth it when you start seeing the changes come.

It’s so easy to allow your mind to take yourself out of completing what you started. Just realize that you have a mission and don’t let anything stand in your way of achieving it.

Set-backs Are Going To Happen…Deal With It!

Even though you have a plan, disruptions will pop up from time to time.  If you really want to make long-lasting changes, you will have to figure out how to accomplish them even when you are stressed out and over tired.

Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you are the one who determines that. Don’t give in to temptations.

Don’t Be Afraid To Ask Questions

It doesn’t matter if your plan is to just shrink your waist size a few inches or you are planning on losing 100 pounds, if you don’t know what you are doing to get there, ask a qualified fitness professional.

It amazes me how many people say they want to get into shape, they’ll do whatever it takes to get into shape, for some money is no boundary to getting that body of their dreams.  But the minute you suggest that they hire a professional, all of a sudden they feel they know what how to do it on their own.

My answer to that is, if they already knew how to do it on their own, they wouldn’t have gotten into the shape they are in right now.

My best advice for anyone even thinking of getting into that bikini or bathing suit this summer is…to find the most qualified person they know.  If they don’t know anyone, find someone who is in pretty good shape and ask them to recommend someone.  Usually the people who know how to exercise properly have had, at one time or another, a fitness professional helping them.
